Lawra Profile +

Configure who you are, where you practice, what you specialize in, and how you write — once. From then on, every Lawra tool reads your profile and adapts its output to your jurisdiction, doctrine, style, and house playbook instead of starting from a blank slate on every run.

What Profile + does

Most legal-AI tools treat every request as if they have never met you. They ask the same setup questions on every run — your jurisdiction, your citation style, your redline preferences — and still produce output calibrated to no one in particular. Profile + replaces that blank slate with a persistent picture of how you actually practice.

You fill out your profile once. It captures your practice context, your doctrinal and stylistic preferences, and the reference material that defines your house standard. Lawra's tools then merge those defaults into every run — so you paste the document and get output that already sounds like your firm, follows your citation convention, and respects your jurisdiction's tradition. Your own form inputs always win when present; the profile fills the gaps.

Three ways to build your profile

Pick the on-ramp that fits you. All three populate the same profile — you can switch modes at any point and edit any field afterward.

Quick interview

About 5 minutes · recommended

A short guided interview covering the essentials: primary jurisdiction, legal tradition, practice areas, role, language and citation preferences, and how you like attorney-review framing and redlines handled. Enough to calibrate most tools immediately.

Detailed interview

About 15-20 minutes

Everything in the Quick interview plus per-practice-area positions, escalation chain, regulators to track, currency-watch topics, and the reference documents you want to upload. Recommended for in-house counsel and firm partners who want richer calibration.

Direct panel

No interview

Skip the interviews and go straight to the editable panel, with helper tooltips on every field. For users who already know their setup and would rather fill it in directly. Same data model, same result.

What you configure

Your profile is organized into three areas. A completeness indicator nudges you to fill them in — but it never gates access; even a partial profile improves your tool runs.

Practice profile

Jurisdiction(s), legal tradition (civil-law / common-law / mixed), practice areas, practice setting and role, working languages, and which regulators apply to your work.

Style & doctrine

Citation style, redline granularity, output formality, disclaimer framing, doctrinal leanings per practice area, escalation chain, and topics where you want stale-knowledge flags.

References & sources

Your uploaded house playbook, trusted reference URLs, free-form notes, and optional per-tool overrides that point specific tools at specific playbooks.

Upload your house playbook

Profile + lets you upload the documents that encode your firm's standards — a house playbook, a preferred-clause library, severance formulas, entity templates — as PDF, DOCX, Markdown, or plain text. Each upload is parsed and summarized at upload time so tools can pull the relevant excerpts into their reasoning at runtime.

If a file can't be parsed cleanly, you can paste its content as text instead — a failed upload never blocks the rest of your profile. Uploads are capped at 10 MB each in the current release, with a small per-profile limit, and stored privately against your own account.

Tools that read your profile

These tools are profile-aware today: they pre-fill from your profile, show a clear indicator of which fields they are reading, and let your own inputs override the defaults.

Vendor Review

Reads your jurisdiction, legal tradition, citation style, redline granularity, escalation chain, and house playbook — so you can skip most of the form and just paste the agreement.

DPA Reviewer

Auto-detects your applicable regulators and sectoral overlays, defaults the processor-vs-controller stance from your practice setting, and reads your uploaded playbook.

DSAR Responder

Pre-populates jurisdiction, regulators, role, and output language from your profile, and can seed the systems list from your uploads.

Termination Reviewer

Uses your jurisdiction and legal tradition to pick the right framework, and your practice setting to default the reason categories.

Trademark Clearance

Drives the framework selector from your legal tradition and defaults the filing-jurisdiction list from your jurisdictions and practice areas.

Lawra Incorporate

Pre-populates a meaningful share of the package inputs — jurisdiction, company stage, applicable regulators, and your firm's entity-template preferences.

When you run a profile-aware tool you'll see a “Reading from your profile” indicator listing exactly which fields are in play, and pre-filled fields are labelled so you always know what came from your profile and what you entered.

A Premium Plus module

Profile + is part of the Premium Plus subscription. Any signed-in user can see the module and start a basic practice profile; full access — all three sections, document upload, per-tool overrides, and profile-aware tool runs across the catalog — is included with Premium Plus.

Because profile-aware tools remove a large share of the setup work on every run, the value compounds the more you use Lawra. See the pricing page for current tiers and what each one includes.

Your profile, your data

A profile only helps if you trust it. Profile + is built so your practice details stay yours.

Owner-only access

Your profile is scoped to your account. Security rules enforce that only you can read or write it; it is not shared with other users.

Stored privately

Profile fields and uploaded documents are stored against your own account. Uploaded files live in private storage tied to your sign-in.

Yours to change

Edit any field, re-run an interview, or remove an upload at any time. Each section shows when it was last edited so you always know what's current.

Make Lawra yours

Spend five minutes now and every tool you touch afterward will already know how you practice.
